Vorona is a village in rural Botosani County of Northeastern Romania and a credit to the local population as this village is very well maintained and clearly well cared for by locals. In the photograph above you can see the magnificent Cultural center in the village main street.
This superb village also boasts a touristic center!
A local man has stopped his moped to speak with a woman who is stood outside with her arms crossed whilst she speaks and listens.
The streets of Vorona are clean and tidy and is a village of peace and quiet.
Monasteries, Churches and local traditions can all be found in Vorona along with friendly community of people~
This smart looking small shop is the local fresh bread shop.
Vorona village has a modern shopping area on the main street including shops and a cafe- coffee shop and chemist shop.
Vorona monastery is a wonderful place of peace and tranquility and is set in huge grounds on the edge of the village. Photo May 2017.
I recently visited the monastery and was delighted to meet the Sisters there and learn of their work, plus they are helping the marginalized children this year as have agreed I can use the dormitories to allow children in need a summer holiday.
